Thank you very much for your response.
I understand that you are alerting other volunteers a reply has been
sent and I think it's wonderful that you send the image to the
requester. I also do that if the requester asks for it, but I also
transcribe the information from the census page to the list. I guess
what I was getting at is that by posting the actual census information
to the list....others researching the same family might find it in the
archives and eliminates duplicate requests in the future. I am on
other census lists and this is typically the way the replies are handled
by the majority of volunteers. I commend you for takig the time to be a
volunteer (we need all we can get) and I'm not attempting to "tell you
what to do", it is just a suggestion.
