Hello,
I'm new to the list, in the last month I have found more info on my OLSON'S. Below is a message I sent to another list I belong to, I got one response of a possibility that my ancestors could have settled in Clinton Cty, IA. I will send the whole message, as there are dates of emmigration, birth dates etc, hopefully it is not too lengthy. :)

I'm wanting to find Martinus and Anne's marriage cert, Gustav's birth info if possible. Hope they are in some census somewhere. And any info on the adopted girl Marie GILBERTSON would be a bonus.

Thank you for any help in finding more about my family.

(maybe), Norway, d, 14, june, 1904 in Traill Co.(could be Hillsboro),

Child #1: Gustav, b, sept, 1878 in Iowa
#2: Aneta Josephine (went by Josie), b, 30, jan, 1880 in WI.
#3: Petra (or Patrine) Otilda, b, 27, feb, 1883 in ND
#4: Oscar Martin, b, 17, april, 1885 in MN
#5: Meline Maria (my grandmother), b, 06, sept, 1887 in MN
#6: Laura Antonetta b, 21, sept, 1889 in MN
#7: Gina Nelsine (twin to Laura)
#8: Tina (or Matine) b, ??, april, 1892 in MN
#9: Alma b, ??, july, 1895 in MN

I have info that Martinus emigrated with siblings/parents in 1869 from
Kletteie, Norway. Also have seen other places listed, Hordeland,
Helleland etc. The parents names are: Gulbrand OLSEN and Ingeborg
JOHANNESDATTER. Siblings names
are Olava GULBRANDSEN, Christening, 20, feb, 1848. Biriedalen, Oppland,
Norway.
And brother Johannes, b 1853 in Klettie.
They settled in Iowa as that is where Gustav was born. I would like to
find out where in Iowa and Birth Certicate or any info on Gustav. The
next and only info I have on Gustav is in the 1900 census, age 22,
living at home (with
parents) in Norman Co., Shelly twp, MN. This area(Neilsville) is where
the parents lived, died and are buried. They evidently had ties across
the ND border at Hillsboro as that is where my grandparents were
married and Anne Marie died there.

The second ? is for the adopted daughter Marie. The info I have on her
is listed above, I know this might be like looking for a needle in a
haystack to find who/where she fits in.

Third ?: To find Martinus and Anne's marriage information, thinking
they got married in Iowa, I have notes Anne Marie emigrated from
Norway in 1871. I have nothing else on her, would like to find her
parents/siblings.

If someone can direct me in the right direction for Iowa research to
find more information on mother Anne Marie and son Gustav, and who
knows where for the adopted daughter Marie, I would greatly appreciate
