Hi to you all, Sorry I did not mention a year. My friend is in her
sixties, so I'm thinking her mother was probably born in the 20's....so 1920 ought
to list the family.....sorry, I don't have the father's name, only the
grandmother, Laura Mortenson, and the profession of the father as a butcher. But,
just the number of children ought to be helpful I would think.

Thanks for your assistance, I'm off to work, so I'll check in later.

Hi to the List!

I'm looking for a census lookup please on the following family. My friend
knows that her mother Mary Elizabeth Mortenson was born in Iowa, and had 9
siblings, some of the names that she could remember are a brother Glenn,
and a
sister, Dorothy.

The mother's name is Laura Mortenson, she knew that her husband was a
butcher.

We're trying to get back to Denmark, even tho the name might be Swedish??
Maybe they lived in Sweden prior to leaving Denmark. So, looking for
emigration info on the father (butcher) and also the mother if by chance
they
emigrated together, etc.

Any info appreciated!

Thanks in advance,

Karrin in CA
