Subject: [IA-CIVIL-WAR] Index 1861-1865 Appanoose Co.

In yesterdays posting by Deborah Jaquiss, I saw reference to "Index to Soldiers of the Civil War, 1861-1865, Appanoose Co., IA".
I am interested in those records, as my descendant C. J. Brower served in the 7th infantry, Co. F, Appanoose Co., IA during 1862. If anyone has access to that index, could you please look up my ancestor?
On the Appanoose Co. Website, he is listed with enlistment and discharge dates, but other than that, I don't know what might be written concerning his service.
He was an older man by the time of his enlistment, but he was a skilled physician, and I have always thought that he went in to service as a doctor. He went in just before the Battle of Pittsburg Landing, so he would have had plenty of work to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
