I recently acquired a cdv of a bust view of a Union 1st Lt., with an Indianola, Iowa backmark (J.A. Leach, Photographer) and a period pen inscription, "died at Cemetery Hill Gettesburg [sic] Pa. 1863." Does anyone have any idea who this might be, or what regiment he might be from? I will send a scan of the cdv to anyone who is curious and wants to help with the id. Thanks.
