Does anyone subscribe to Historical Data, Inc or any other paid repository of Civil War veterans information? I discovered my great-grandfather may have been in the 59th Infantry of New York. Name ....John C. Mason.........age 16 at muster in. Could anyone help with this? I originally thought he was the John Mason from Mt Vernon Iowa, but not the case. He later moves to Iowa after the war.
