Rhoda, You have to be flexible in genealogy. You can't take every thing from
one census record as gospel. In 1900 Frank's nativities are Ia, Il, Ia.
Unice are Ar, NY, Tn. In 1910 Frank's are all Iowa. Eunice are Ar, NY, NY.
Which census is correct? In 1900 Roy is 1 yr old. In 1910 Milroy is only 10.
Should he not be 11? Information on a death record, or any official document
for that matter, is only as good as the knowledge of the provider. If one of
Frank's kids "thought" Frank was born in Allamakee co, that's what he's
going to indicate, right or wrong. The 1900 Frank & Unice have been married
about 3 yres. Have you looked for a marriage record? Have you checked the
Jefferson twp area for the baptismal records for the 3 Ia. born children on
the 1910 census? Godparents were often relatives or close family friends. If
one of the god parents is a Stone, it could be a brother or sister-in-law.
Talk to the local gene societies or libraries in the area for what
assistance they can provide you. Dick
May you live to be a hundred, with an extra year to repent! Irish proverb
