Hi everyone. Reference microfilms for Waukon Standard, the Recorder's office
at the Court House in Waukon has microfilms available dating from 1872. The
newspaper office has 3 books of copies that are not on microfilm for 1868,
1869 and I believe 1870. Now, if anyone wants this, I personally spoke with
either Laurie or Kory at the Recorder's office this morning, and here is her
email . She has already emailed me with news that she
found my great-grandfather's obituary, cost for an obituary is $3.50
including photocopy. Hope this helps those out who were looking for this
information earlier this week. Gayle
