Mr. and Mrs. Joseph WACHTER were business visitors at McGregor one day last
week.

Mrs. Helen WALSH and family of Ion, were guests Sunday afternoon at the J.
J. BRODERICK home

Mrs. J. J. BRODERICK and son Hugh, Mrs. Annie FINNEGAN and son Leonard, Mr.
and Mrs. Edward NICHOLSON and son Cleophus were visitors at the Wm. FINNEGAN
home at Marquette Sunday afternoon.

Mrs. G. V. GARRAHY and daughter Evelyn, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas SHANNON of
Chicago, were visitors Wednesday evening at the home of their aunt, Mrs. J.
J. BRODERICK. They were enroute to their home from Fairfax, Minn., where
they attended the funeral of Mrs. GARRAHY's mother-in-law.

Mrs. Agnes KELLY of Cherry Mound, received word Thursday of the death of her
mother, Mrs. Mary A. WALSH, which occurred that morning in Chicago.
Deceased was born and raised in Fairview township and at the time of her
death was sixty-six years old. She taught school in Clayton and Allamakee
counties for several years. She was united in marriage with Clarence ORR of
McGregor forty-two years ago. Nine children were born to this union. She
is survived by her husband and seven children. The funeral was held
Saturday at Chicago. Mrs. Kelly did not attend the funeral. (Should this
be Mrs. Mary A. ORR instead of WALSH? ) ????

beloved husband and father, Holver PETERSON. Also for the many floral
offerings and the choir of St. John's Lutheran church. Mrs. Holver Peterson

LEONA ROTH CROWNED QUEEN 4-H GIRLS
Miss Leona ROTH was selected ___ queen of the 4-H girls of Allamakee county
at their regular ______ meeting at the Water-_________ park last week,
Wednesday. The selection of Miss Roth was the result of votes cast by the
_________ club committees on the delegates nominated by the various clubs.
