Extracted from the Postville Review newspaper, April 19, 1876:

We learn the Lewis, a son of Hersey PRATT, of Waukon, a boy about 15 years
of age, was kicked in the head by a horse, which he was leading to water, on
Monday, from the effects of which he died in about an hour.
