Services were conducted at the Schutte Funeral Home at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, October 28 (1976) for Joseph Freeman, who died October 26 at the Fred Pfister farm, where he made his home. The Rev. Norris Swenson officiated.

Born May 24, 1907 in Clayton County, he was the son of Joseph and Mary Miene Freeman. He was a farm laborer most of his lifetime.

Survivors include a brother John of Haver, Montana; three sisters, Mrs. Linda McColloch, Yankton, South Dakota, Mrs. Mary Boese and Mrs. Dorothy Boese, Postville.

Burial was in Postville cemetery.
