Jeannie do you ever do any research at the FHC? I just found a burial a few
days ago that could be my GGgfa Wm Charles Sanders there in Iowa. I know his
wife died in Waterloo, BlackHawk County, Iowa. Just a 2nd I'll bring the
burial up that I think is him and give it to you. Here it is.
Full Context of Iowa Cemetery Records. Data Base at ancestry.com
Cemeteries in Muscatine County
Page: 618
Name: Wm. Sanders
Birth Date: 18 May 1811
Death Date: 20 Mar 1881
Cemetery: Nichols
Town: Nichols, Pike
I'm pretty darn sure this is him. His birth date fits perfectly and his
death location fits the same. His son Joel (my Ggfa's) wife was Rhumea
(Rewama) Cessna. My GGgfa Oliver Cessna and his wife Martha Ann Baughman
were in Muscatine county and Greene County Wisconsin which is where my Ggmo
Rewama Cessna was born. Looks like the two familys travelled together. My
Ggfa Joel fought for Wisc in the Civil War.
So if you could find his obit and find him on the census with his family, it
would be very much appreciated.
If not don't worry about it. Jeannie above is a Iowa cousin on my paternal
side.
Can any of you on the Iowa list connect to my ancestors.
