Hello John,
Kinda funny to see your post I am from BlackHawk County and live in Mass. Don't know if it will help you, but there are tons of McGuire's in and around Fort Dodge , which is where my grandmother McGuire was from, she was the daughter of Gilbert Doran McGuire, Who's Father helped build and establish McGuire's Bend , IA.. My Grandmother Martha S. McGuire passed away in Waterloo.I have a John F McGuire b. 31 Jan.1858 in Ray County Missouri D. 10 Jan. 1934 . buried in McGuire bend Cematary , Yell Township , webster county
