Eda Black died June 20, 1996, at Kanabec County Hospital, in Mora, Minnesota. She was 89 years old. She was born on April 28, 1907 to Frank S. Averill and Grace May Averill (Lockwood) at Watersoo, Iowa. She graduated from Ogilvie High School in 1925. She was united in marriage to Clark Black on Jan. 7, 1928, at Mora, Minnesota. In 1930 they moved to Iowa where they lived for seven years before retuning to Ogilvie. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, cooking and entertaining and cared for many homeless animals. She was a member of the United Methodist Church for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and four brothers. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery in Mora.
