Dowd is a variation of the Doud family, so very likely there is some
connection if he surname was Dowd.

I would need more information than what you havbe provided, but I would
be happy to check the books and records we have here at the museum. First
Lady Mamie Geneva Doud (1896-1979) was born in Boone and was married to
Dwight D. Eisenhower July 1, 1916 in Denver,. Colorado.
