I am looking for information on John kelling and Mary Gratow both born
in Germany. There first son Frederick Henry was born in Bremer County,
Iowa in 1873, Johanna was born in 1875 and baptized at St. John
Lutheran Buck Creek. Then they moved to Fayette County where August ,
Bernhard, Albert and William were born. Another daughter Jacobina was
born in 1879 am not sure of the county of her birth. five of the
children Jacobina, William, August, Bernhard, and Albert were placed in
the Bremwood Orphanage in 1891. Mary's last name has been spelled
Tratow, Tretow, Trettow, Gratoss, and on Frederick's marriage
certificate Gratow. Any help would be much appreciated. Mary Lou Reed
