My Aunt Vivian [Vivi] CONNETT, married John LUND, prob in Mason City, Cerro Gordo Co., sometime after 1941. John's father was Oscar LUND, and the family live in the south end of Mason City. John LUND, was murdered in the railroad yard, found in a deep pit with his skull fractured, his pants pockets inside out and his wallet missing. According to family, he was crossing the railroad yard as a short cut to his home after working, and it was dark out. Aunt Vivi, lived with his parents for awhile after John's death, where I visited her when I was a child, prob around 1948/49 to early 50's. This family was very kind to me, and I have fond memories of them. This is all the info I know about this family, except that I planted a fruit seed in their back yard, which was a large tree when I went to their home, again, possibly abt 1953.
