My name is Marty Moon and I was born in Mason City, Iowa in 1957. I currently live in the Denver Metro area. My father Ted Moon and I are planning on taking a trip back to Iowa in late June to find some more family. We are hoping that some of you may help us and then we can thank you in person this summer. Niles and Emma (Leaman) Shannon lived and died in Thornton, Iowa. We are hoping to find an obituary listing on them Niles died around 1932 and Emma died in 1941, Niles and Emma are my great-great grandfather and grand mother. Charles and Martha Winter came from England in the 1880's and are buried in Mason City. I am hoping to find their obituries they are also my great-great grandfather and grandmother. Finally, I do not have the obituary for my grandfather Charles Moon who died in 1952 and my grandmother Grace Moon who died in 1991 and are both buried in Mason City. I am trying to lay the ground work for our family history trip. Hopefully you can help. Please e-mail me.
