my greatgrandfather Benjamin Franklin SMITH born Rockford Ill. , July 17 1858 died Chelan Wa 1940 parents were Nelson W. <probably Wayne> SMITH b Aug 1825 (twin) and Olive B PARKER whom I know nothing about , Chelan holds record of Ben's parents, these are the names given. Ben had 2 sisters named Elise and Josephine from Nelsons other marriage to Elizabeth BENTLEY in 1839. The Nelson SMITH family landed in Iowa and Nelson's death is named in Larragee Cherokee Ill, which their is none, but is in Iowa, I am guessing that is the place. Ben married Nettie Josephine STRETTER from Forest City Iowa in Waterloo Iowa in 1882, I am looking to document Bens birth and parents Nelson and Olive B PARKER/SMITH, birth, death, marriage, census, personal family history, anything that will hook Ben with Nelson and Olive.
