Does anyone have a copy of the cemetery listing for the Union Cemetery in
Alta Vista? I am looking for the daughter of Solomon and Mary Reep whose
name was Lanna or Lavina Reep. She was born around 1861 in Chickasaw
County, and was listed in the 1870 but not the 1880 Census. I suspect she
died in this period. Solomon was a farmer, and part time preacher who was
associated with the establishment of the Evangelical Brethren Church in Alta
Vista in 1864. The Union Cemetery is next to where the church was located,
and it is likely that Lanna/Lavina is buried there. If there are no Reep
names in the cemetery listing, maybe there is a stone with only Lanna or
Lavina on it. I have noticed the tombstones of other children in my
ancestry which only cite the first name. Any help is appreciated.
