Stephanie, I looked back in my records and find that in the 1870 U.S. Census
for Fairbank Township, Buchanan County, Iowa, pages 10 and 11, Bernard Sweeney
is shown living there with his wife Elizabeth (Young) and children Mark T. (my
great grandfather), Mary, Sara and George.

In the 1880 U.S. Census for New Hampton Township, Chickasaw County, Iowa page
46, Bernard is shown as "B. Sweeney" a widower, living with his children Mary
and George.

If this Sara is your Sara Sweeney Jordan, it may be that she married between
1870 and 1880.

I think Mary Sweeney was married to a man named Holden, and she had moved to
York, York County, Nebraska by 1906. (Bernard Sweeney's 1906 obituary says he
died at the home of his daughter in York.)

I found a Mary Sweeney with twin daughters surnamed Holden living in York in
the 1910 U.S. Census. In 1915, Mary had moved to Long Beach, California and in
that year married a man named Herman Silberberg there. This last information
was recorded in her baptismal registry of the Catholic parish in the little
town in Cambria County, Pennsylvania where she was born.

I'm adding all this in case it helps make more connections between your Sara
Sweeney Jordan and this Sweeney family I am connected to.
