Christopher CAGLEY b 1841 IN is in Chickasaw County IA in the 1860 census (son of Levi & Eve), but he is not listed with them nor indexed at all in Iowa in 1870 or 1880. Nor does he show up in Iowa Cemeteries database.

According to Iowa Cemeteries database, there is a CAGLEY cemetery in/near Bradford Chickasaw IA. The following may be Christopher's father, in which case perhaps an obituary or will may be located:

There is an interesting legal notice in the Nashua Reporter, 1920 > July > 29 which seems to be clearing title to some property. It mentions Eve Cagley, C.L. Cagley, Melinda Jane Cagley and other Cagleys. I notice that the Iowa Marriages index includes the following--not a match, but possibly of interest:

THe Nashua Reporter 1930 > March > 12 published a fairly extensive obituary for Mary ETTA Cagley Keyes, daughter of Levi & Eve. Let me know if this is of interest to you and I will transcribe it for you.
