At the residence of Wm Gustin on the evening of the 13th of July 1863, by M.
B. Rees, Esqr., Mr. JOSEPH C. CONINE to Miss EMMA P. BATES.

Also Mr. CHARLES W. MOUDER to Miss SARAH C. POUNDS

The above came with these words appended - "Please add a line." That is I
suppose they want a sentiment. Well we are not very good at that business,
but here you have it:

Oh, may your heart o'er flow with joys,
Your home with Union girls and boys,
And should they fill your ears with noise
While playing with their pets and toys
May nothing evil e'er possess you.

But, if a little Copperhead
Should with you take his board and bed
Just clap your heal upon his head
And keep it there until he's dead -
And God will bless you.
