There is a genealogy society in Crawford County.

The library also has a genealogy section and micro films of the old Denison
newspapers. Be sure and ask to see the collection of obituaries the
genealogy society has put together. It consists of three different plastic
filing tubs full of local obituaries and funeral cards. The obits are mostly
from the 70's and 80's, but they provide a lot of surnames conections of
ancestors. You have to ask to see them at the front desk.
