Fred,
This is a good site. You will be able to access the Ship Lists on
Ancestry.com but only by going through the OliveTree Site first. It is a
limited time span and year range on which you'll be able to access this. I
found Alexander Koelln, now Kolln, on the list Herder. And Julius Moll on
the Anchoria.
You don't necessarily need to know the ship name to find someone.
