Henry Bohnker + Therese Rohlk are said to have come to the USA from
Schleswig-Holstein, Germany in 1882 and settled in Milford Twp. near Vail
where their eldest son John was born. Buried in the Vail Community Cem.

NORTH:
Thomas Henry North & 2nd wife Anna Elizabeth Clark came to the USA in 1870
with Thomas' 9 youngest children. The oldest son John stayed behind in
Yorkshire, England.
2nd wife Anna died in Clinton Co. Iowa in 1872. Thomas then moved on
to Crawford Co. with
the 9 children and settled there. Buried in the Vail Community Cem.

WHITEING:
Andrew & Sarah Jane (North) Whiteing came to the USA from Yorkshire, England in
1870. They married in Clinton Co. Iowa in 1871 and then moved on to Crawford Co.
abt. 1874 where Andrew's brother Frederick was living in Vail.
Brother Frederick, his wife Mary Crump moved to California in the 1890s and
Andrew & Sarah eventually moved to California as well, in the early 1900s.
Andrew's two eldest sons, George & Thomas remained in Crawford Co.
Iowa. George owned a business in Vail and Thomas farmed while his wife
taught school.
Third son Robert left Iowa for South Dakota after the death of his
wife and only child,
while Andrew's remaining children went west.
