My Aunt Maxine Graham died recently in Elkhorn, Ne. Her love of her past in Crawford county with her interest in genealogy, helped me in my search of my past. Maxine lived a simple life, she never drove a car, never owned a computer. Her thoughts were always of Frank and Bess Bral and the beautiful farms of Iowa. I am not sure what year and I have yet to get a copy, but I believe in a Vail Iowa centennial book, maxine had submitted information of our descendant, George W. Brown. Had Maxine researched in a computer, she would have seen the vast numbers of George Browns that were born around 1854. While I am still researching it is my opinion that the george brown maxine thought was our descendant from Dubuque county Iowa, in not our descendant. He left the family there in Vail around 1905, I promised maxine I will find where he is buried. If you look at the crawford county 1880 and 1900 census it shows george's parents from Ny/Pa and Ohio. Maxine remembers Pennsylvani!
a dutch and a railroad accident. I found a george brown that died in a railroad accident, but another family claims that one. any info?? becky bral bonacci
