DIED--August l3th in Decatur after a short illness, MRS. ELIZA A.
TULLIS, wife of J.S. TULLIS and daughter of L.J. AND M.J. WALKER.

SISTER TULLIS was born in Rush County, Indiana, August 27th, l837;
was converted and joined the M.E. Church at the age of fifteen years.
She came to Iowa when quite young and was joined in wedlock to J.S.
TULLIS, November l3, l856. She was the mother of l0 children, 3 of whom
have crossed over before her.

SISTER TULLIS was a consistent Christian lady, was respected and loved
by all her neighbors. The Church in Decatur, where funeral services
were held, was filled with sympathizing and sorrowing friends. Her
circle of friends will sadly miss her in the family circle, church and
community wher she had lived so long, and though stricken down quite
suddenly, yet gave good evidence of a preparation for the great change
which awaits us all. S.SAMSON

DIED--On the l2th inst., at her home in Grand River Township, Decatur
County, Iowa, MRS. JAMES TRAINER.

She was born in Belmont County, Ohio, and was aged 47 years. She came
to Iowa in the year l865. She joined the Roman Catholic Church ten
years after her marriage with her now greatly bereaved husband and was a
faithful and consistent member until death.

She was buried in the Catholic Cemetery, l0 miles east of Leon. She was
an excellent woman, highly esteemed by all her neighbors and
acquaintances, who mourn with her husband and family their great loss.
