Thank you Nancee! Milton's sister Lucinda Ellen (Truitt) Stephen (Yes,
the article spells it as Stevens, but on their graves, it is spelled
Stephen.) The Mr. & Mrs. Fred Jones listed in the "Card of Thanks" would
be Lucinda and Geo Stephen's daughter, Sadie and her husband Fred. I don't
have Marion Truitt listed. Could someone tell me who Marion was?
Thank you.
Stacy

l850, and died at the home of his niece, MRS. FRED JONES, one mile north of
Blockley on July 6, l920, at 5:l0 p.m. His death came as a shock to both
friends and relatives as he had been apparently well, ate a hearty dinner
and about four o'clock became ill and died before medical aid could reach
him, heart trouble being the cause.

> He was married on August l3th, l899 to MRS. NANCY VALENTINE, who besides
his father, mother and three brothers have preceded him to the great beyond.
He leaves one brother, MARION TRUITT, of Leon, Ia., two sisters, MISS SARAH
TRUITT, of near Blockley and MRS. GEORGE STEVENS, of Davis City, and many
nephews and nieces, besides a host of friends.
>
> When a young man, he expressed his faith in God and became a member of the
M.E. Church and those who know him best know he kept that faith. His
congenial ways and kindly smile will be missed amid the large circle of
friends.
>
> Funeral serices were held last Wednesday, July 7th, l920, from the
Methodist Church, Leon, Iowa, and the services were conducted by the Rev.
A.E. Jervis.
