Leon Reporter
September l4, l893

Our little town is wide awake, notwithstanding the cry of hard times.
The times are not hard here, our bank is in good condition and has
plenty of money.

The creamery is running in full blast and turning out fine butter.

PETE BRENAMAN is building a large barn. He is one of our old reliables
in more ways than one.

WILL SNYDER has moved back in his house again.

DICK BURHAM seems very lonely these days.

REV. DUNN preached his farewell sermon Sunday night to a large
congregation. MR. DUNN has a large circle of friends who will miss his
genial smile and his efforts to do good here. We wish him success
wherever he goes, and our loss will be others gain.

H.C. BONE and others have gone to shoot bears in the wild and wooly
west.

Our schools begin the l8th. MR. PORTER and MISS NOBLE at the helm.

MR. DAVIS, our new Editor, gets up a neat and newsy paper, which
deserves the support of all our people.

HARDER boys are doing the work on BRENAMAN'S barn which will be one of
the best in the county.

None of our candidates have been seen in these parts yet. The democrats
are strictly in it here.

Three new restaurants will be running soon; you can get your dinner when
you come to town.

ROBERT SNYDER goes to Clearfield to work in a barber shop. ROBERT is
quick and will make a good barber, we wish him success in his work.

MRS. HARRY BINNING has returned from her visit east and the Fair.
