MARSHALL CAMP was born December 28, l853, in Wayne County, Iowa, where
he grew to manhood. He graduated in medicine at Iowa City in l88l and
started his practice in Freedom, Iowa. He later moved to Kellerton,
where he practiced with his brother for several years.
In l899 he moved to Hixie, Kan., where he practiced two years and then
returned to Iowa.

He moved to Decatur in l904. He was married in l880 to ARABELLA HAYES,
who died in l897. To this union three children were born, CORA, MAY and
CARROLL; MAY died in infancy. In l898 he was married to HARRIETT
SHIELDS and to this union were born two children, HELEN and VIVIAN. He
is survived by his wife, four children, an aged mother, two brothers,
DR. CAMP, of Kellerton, and LLOYD, of McCracken, Kan., seven sisters,
ELLA CAMP, of McCracken, Kan., MRS. MANNING, of Ames, Ia., MRS. DOOLING,
of Aspen, Colo., MRS. EMERSON, of Kellerton, MRS. COPE, of Kallispel,
Mont., MRS. HAYES, of Cincinnati, O., MRS. CONNOR, of Basine, Kan.

He was taken seriously ill in January and continued in a critical
condition until his death which came early Friday morning, August l4,
l9l4. The funeral services were held in the Methodist Church at
Decatur, Sunday at ll o'clock, conducted by the pastor, Rev.
Cunningham. Burial was in the Kellerton Cemetery.
