The people of Turon and vicinity were surprised and saddened Sunday afternoon when word was passed out that JIM WOOD died at 2:30 that afternoon.

MR. WOOD had lived in Turon and vicinity ever since coming to Kansas, and he was always a man of his word, a good neighbor, and a kindly friend and helper in times of sickness and need. His passing is mourned by all who knew him, and who lived with him, and the bereaved relatives have the sympathy of all our people.

JAMES HENRY WOOD, son of JACOB and LUCRETIA WOOD, was born June l4, l864, in Decatur County, Iowa, and died at his home near Turon, Kansas, October l9, l924, aged 60 years, 4 months and 5 days.
