This is copied from a School Ledger that was purchased by my Aunt Pat
Osburne Bassett at an estate sale, in Cainsville, Missouri. Some pages are
very faint, and the different years were recorded by different individuals,
and some writing is hard to read.



Proceedings of School District Meetings

Annual Meeting, held at School House April 5, 1892. Proceded to business by
the election of
R.E. Still as Chairman of meeting, and W.S. Kirkpatrick as Secretary. First
balloted for Director Wm. Lytle receiving a majority of votes cast and
declared elected.

Next voted for the amount of school for the ensuing year. Six months being
voted for, to commence the first of September and to teach September and
October with vacation in November and then to teach until term is finished.

Forty cents on the $100 valuation being voted fir School purposes and $25
for incidentals.

Voted to allow the children of B.F. Stevens to attend this school provided
they are allowed to draw their share of the public funds from their
District.

Next voted for Road Oversee to fill out the unexpired term of I.N.
Craig-Resigned. Charles Purks being elected.

Voted that Parties using the School House for other purposes than that of
the Public School be held responsible for all damage to said property.
Business being finished meeting declared adjourned.
