Died, LORENZO D. SHAFFNER, at his home in Grand River on Friday, May 10, l895, aged 37 years, 6 months and 13 days.

Deceased was well known to the citizens of Davis City and had many true and tried friends, as he was once in business here in company with CHAS. SUTHERLIN. He leaves a wife and three children to mourn his loss, and they have the sympathy of the whole community.

MR. SHAFFNER's remains were interred in the family Cemetery at Terre Haute on Saturday by the Masons, the Decatur, Grand River and Davis City lodges being present to witness the last sad rites to a brother and friend. The funeral sermon was preached by Rev. G.W. McCracken, Minister of the M.E. Church at Grand River.
