Subject: [IADECATU] Decatur County Atlas for 1800's?

We were in Decatur County early on a Monday morning and inquired at the
Registrar of Deeds office if there were Decatur County Atlases for the
1800's or early 1900's. They seemed unsure of what we were seeking. They
referred us to the historical society or library, but they weren't open at
the time we could be there. Can any one help me?

We were hoping that there was such an atlas that might give us the location
of land owned by my grandparents and their parents and grandparents in the
Woodland area.

We couldn't find them listed in the first grantor and grantee list and felt
they probably had acquired their land before the damage at the courthouse.

Thanks!

Gayle in Kansas
