I've probably mentioned this before but my mother's aunt married a CLARENCE
STOUT, I believe the family had ties to Missouri. I've never researched
the STOUT name, but it crosses my lines every once in awhile---individuals
connected to my HILL/KIZZIRE/ACTON/ETC. family. As far as I know Clarence
and Maude (Molly Emeline Acton) had one son, also Clarence, nick-named
"Buster" and he and his wife were lifelong residents of either Kansas or
Missouri. I didn't really know them. For a time, circa 1915-1920, the
"Stout Bros" had a broom company, probably out of Missouri, but often in
the Davis City area. I believe the name beside Clarence was Bert---maybe
shortened from ALBERT STOUT or ROBERT STOUT. ??? There were DEFINITELY
numerous Stout family members going back and forth between Iowa and
Missouri, so don't forget to look in records from Missouri in your quest.
Good luck. I'll be in the area the first of Oct. as well, so IF I have an
opportunity to check Stout along with my other names, will definitely try.
Hope you'll post to this site if you're successful in your hunt.

Sherry

info. for Brenda. I referred her to the Decatur County WebSite, where
there are several articles about various Bradfields and Stouts. Thanks,
