Hi All - I just wanted to let you know that there is a new contact and phone
number listed on the Decatur County Historical Society Page - Bob Bixby has
just been added and is the first person listed to call if you have a question
about the Society. He has a lot of great ideas! His number is
641-446-3297.

Bob is also very involved in the Leon Lion's Club. The Lion's Club
2006-2007 cemetery project is to buy a bronze military flagholder to install at each
veteran's monuments in the Leon Cemetery. The Lion's Club installed 360 of
the flagholders on the 13th of May and on Memorial Day will put an American
Flag in each one. They still need to raise money for around 260 more
flagholders which cost about $20 each. If you have an interest in contributing please
contact Bob at the number listed above.
