Subject: [DES MOINES COUNTY] SMITH-SCOTT in IA 1800's

It has been a while since I posted this information, so do you see
anything of interest
It's bad enough to look for SMITH but when the given name is Charles W.
SMITH there are many that do not fit. Charles W. SMITH shows up in the
1870 census with two children, Hensen D. and Amelia.
Charles W. is shown as born in Iowa.
The following is a page from a family Bible.
(Note: nowhere have I been able to connect SCOTT as kinfolk. If any one
has a SCOTT married to a SMITH in this timeframe I would appreciate
help.)
Kinfolk births, of the family. (Title at top of page)
