To LORRAINE ARTHUR:
Just noticed your message to "James" ... and that your husband was born at
Spirit Lake. Does his family (parents, etc.) have any mentions or memories
of a pastor (& homeopathic doctor) named Rev. John W. Megan... wife Susan
Pitts Megan; their daughter Anna ? I have sent off inquiry to the local
library, but no word from them yet. Was looking for an exact birthdate for
Anna -- maybe from her school records. She was born in Aug. 1882 in
Michigan. They were in Spirit Lake at her high school graduation time
(1900); then moved on to Kansas.
