Thank you for writing. I've got limited information about my great-grandfather, August Ketelsen's family and ancestors. I'm going to include the outline here and maybe you can see if any of these names make sense to you or match up.

According to my family, this Maria Poulsen was married twice and did have a son named Peter with her second husband. If this Peter is the same as yours, then we may have a connection found!!! I'm not sure, though, as the birth date for the Peter born w/ her 2nd husband would have had him passing away in America at the age of 15. However, I have no knowledge of names of Maria's siblings or either of her husband's siblings....that's a big reason why I keep sending out queries such as this.

I have photos of Paul & Grace Ketelsen with notations that they lived around Everly, Iowa and on the back of the pics, say "to my cousin, August". Also notes that they visited my grandparents, the Elmer Ketelsen's in Osage, Iowa, long ago.(Elmer was August's son)

Also have notations about a Tena Ketelsen, does this name come up in your research? She immigrated to South Dakota.

And, am currently corresponding with another lady who is a descendant of a William Ketelsen who immigrated and eventually settled in Baggs, Wyoming.
