Thanks Jeannie - now I remember. Hartigs was on one corner
and the Okey Dokey 'kitty corner'.
I moved to Cedar Rapids when I was 25, then KY at 30,
TN, VA, CT, VA, SC, VA. No wonder I can't remember Dubuque's layout.
Thanks again.
Ellen

I have many Dubuque History books ... and one, Dubuque on the Mississippi
written by William Wilkie states (and I quote) " Eagle Point Ave ... is
now
Kaufmann Ave."
IF you go down KAUFMANN Ave heading east it turns into East 22 Street
and you will Be Right in front of SACRED HEART CHURCH.
I also have an 1867 Dubuque City Directory it references Couler ave is
between Eagle Point Ave and Diagonal ... if you are familiar with Dubuque
you
will know Diagonal St is very near KAUFMANN Ave. and nowhere near Windsor
Ave.
Thank you
