Hello List Members,

I'm looking for anything additional I can get on the following:

SALISBURY, Mary Jane (Jennie), b. Nov 1844 OH, d. aft 1910,
m. Arlow George WHITBECK, lived in Auburn Township, and
had 8 known children. My paternal grandmother married the
eldest of their children, Harry Wellington, before she married
my grandfather, Charles Lewis TAYLOR.

In the 1856 Iowa State census, she and what appear to be an
older sister Serena (b. abt 1841 OH), and a younger brother John
(b. abt 1847 OH), are living with a ROBINSON family.

By 1860, Serena is living with a BORODE family, John is living
with a PENCE family, and Mary Jane (Jennie) is still living with
the ROBINSON family.

Who are the parents of Serena, Mary Jane, & John? Were they
orphaned? Were they "farmed out?" And what is the connection
between the SALISBURYs and the ROBINSONs?

Arlow and his son Harry are buried in the Oak Ridge Cemetery
at Auburn, William Burton is buried at Irma, Alberta; Elmer G. is
buried in the Boales Cemetery in Windsor Twp., Glennie married
Forrest PROUTY, they are buried at Isabel, Dewey Co., SD.

The rest of them Walter, Olive (m. Charles HIMM), Leonard, and
John Ray are still missing, and what ever happened to Mary Jane?

Thanks to anyone who can help clear up the mystery.
