Thank you, Walter Farwell, for the very generous info that you have put on this query board. Tho none of the families mentiond are in my direct lines, the histories of Hamburg & of Fremont Co. give life to the dates & places. My father(Jacob Albert McKissick) was born in Hamburg in 1883>>his parents being Joseph Marion McKissick & Martha Jane "Mattie" Jennings. Their parents>>Cornelius W. McKissick & Hannah May Chaney>>Aaron "Andrew" Jennings & Huldah Jane (Van Ness) Harris. Many of my ancestors & their relatives are buried in the Mt.Olive & Utterback Cemeteries. I have been searching for the actual place of my grandparents' (Joseph & Martha--above) marriage. The date was 30 Dec 1874. Their firstborn was born in Fremont Co in 1876 & then next child Jennie Lou was born in 1878 in Atchison Co. MO. Then moved to Rawlins Co. KS & back to then back to Hamburg.
