Kay: I think I have two facts to place for your consideration: (1) In the 1915 census for Fremont county, Joseph S. Jackson said he did not come to Fremont until in 1881.--Is this the truth, or was he here early enough for his children to have been born in this county? The answer could carry some weight in the disappearance of his first wife: Did this happen in Illinois or in Iowa? (2) Abigail Shearer (12/6/1831 - 7/9/1914) married first Ira Burdick. Their son John C. Burdick (8/21/1861 - 6/14/1914) is buried in the Riverton cemetery with Joseph and Abigail.--Walter
