THE FREMONT COUNTY SUN. Sept. 10, 1896. "OBITUARY".--Alvira Jane Carico was born in KCowles county, Illinois, Feb. 9, 1840.

She was united in marrige to Charles Derr in Holt county, Missouri on Feb. 14, 1859. To this union were born five children, of which three survive her.

She was a faithful and consistent member of the Christian church. She, with her husband, came to Sidney in the spring of 1871, where she resided until her death which occurred Monday, Sept. 7, 1896.

The funeral services were conducted at the house by Rev. E. Dickinson, of the Presbyterian church.
