THE FREMONT COUNTY HERALD. July 9, 1925. "Otte To Tabor".--The board of trustees at Tabor College have obtained the best Athletic Coaching Staff for Tabor that they have ever had in the history of the school. Kenneth C. Kiepser of Omaha has signed as Director of Athletics and Coach, and F. Lowell Otte, a Sidney high school product is to assist. Kiepsier...etc....

...F. Lowell Otte needs no intorudction to southwest Iowa as all of southwest Iowa are proud to claim him as well as Sidney. To enumerate all of the various activities that he has entered into during high school would require much space; he is the product of Sidney high school, where he starred in all branches of athletics. After graduating from Sidney he took a four year course at Iowa City, where he not only continued his athletic ability but was an honor student. Otte's name and deeds have perhaps been before the eye of the public more than any other University student. He was a member of the State University football team in 22, 23, and 24. He was an All Conference End in 1923 and an All Western End in 1924. He was a member of the track team in 1923 and 1924. also a member of the Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity, which is social, and the Phi Beta Kappa Fraternity, which is scholastic. He is also a member of the University Players and A. F. I., a men's senior society. In additi!
on to this, Otte is a good clean man who has been much sought for by not only high schools throughout the west, but by several colleges. Tabor college is indeed fortunate in obtaining his services. He will teach in the English Department besides his athletic duties....
