FORMER CITIZEN BROUGHT HERE FOR BURIAL
Geo. L. Allen Succumbs to Kidney Trouble While Traveling Thru Kansas. Died June 7, 1924
Geo. L. Allen, formerly very prominently identified in the stock buying business here at Hamburg, but for the past few years located in the San Luis Valley, Colo., was brought here for burial last Tuesday afternoon.
Mr. Allen had left his home and was traveling through Kansas when the fatal attack of kidney trouble came on. He was taken off the train at Winfield, Kansas, and taken to a hospital, but it was evident he was dead before he arrived. He had been in poor health for the past five years. Mr. Allen was born at Berlin, Illinois, and lived with his parents, until a young man when he came west.
He was maried to Mrs. Frances Catlett Lloyd, May 2, 1900. To this union no children were born.

Francis A. Allen of Hamburg, Ia., and George M. Goodin of Sidney, Ia. were married Sunday afternoon at 1 o'clock at the Presbyterian manse by Rev. Harry M. Markley. The bride was 68 years old and Mr. Goodin was 70. He is engaged in farming near Sidney. both had been married before.
