Walter, I respectfully submit that "Mixed Blood Farms" might be a little more appropriate for describing farms owned by couples of diverse cultural or racial backgrounds. Wanted to mention that you posted some data concerning the "View' families in your area, and some of their descendants. It might interest you to know that the mother of the Indian athlete Jim Thorpe was a Potawatomi, and a member of the View family. Most history calls him a Sac and Fox, as that was the tribal affiliation of his father, but most of his Indian blood quantum comes from his mom. Will look for my reference to the foregoing statement. Wow, when you talk about the Metis in your area, you are right in my wheelhouse, as most of my mother's people fall into the 'mixed-blood category, (Willmette, Darling, Tescier, Bourbonnais, Chevalier, Smith, et al). Thanks again for reposting your notes. Your work is priceless, and I hope everyone appreciates the hours you must put into your research. Regards, Bud
