I found what you were referring to.
I'm a descendant of Louis Vieux, hence the interest. The annuity payments are the first solid evidence of his existence in Iowa, other than later census records which show that children were born there. I presume that since his brother Nicolas, of which he did trading with back in Wisconsin, is associated with the Ewing Trading Co., near the agency, that Louis and family probably lived on the south end of the "Mixed Blood?" Farms. I also note, in some of your correspondence, that Angelique Roy, died in 1862 in Lawrence, Brown Co., Kansas.. My records indicate that she died and was buried in Brown Co., Wisconsin.
