SERVICES HELD FOR MRS. ORDELIA THOMPSON

OrDelia Belle Lockett was born July 9, 1971, in Pike County, Ill. She came to Sidney when she was 12 years old. She lived in Sidney all of her life, and passed away on Thursday evening, October 15, at the Hamburg hospital, of complications following a broken hip.
She was united in marriage to George S. Thompson on December 25, 1888, and to this union 11 children were born, Walter dying at the age of three.
Mrs. Thompson was a member of the old Free Methodist church of Sidney and when it disbanded, she united with the Baptist church.
Services were held Sunday, Oct. 18, at 2:30 p. m., at the Crawford Funeral Home, conducted by Rev. Dean T. Waychoff. Music was by Mrs. Alice Schade, soloist, accompanied by Mrs. Irma Nichols. Interment was made in the Sidney cemetery.
